Julien Carayon - Guitar Recording Test

"I use a Carvin V3 amp loaded with JJ6L6GC power tubes and a mixture of Tung Sol, JJ and Sovtek preamp tubes. As usual, bridge pickup on to play riffs to get sharp but not overly bright tone.

I still have some low end and no muddiness to my ears. I love this tone. I may tweak it in the future.

I use a Palmer PDI-03 loadbox and cabinet simulator to record my amp without having the neighbours call the police.

This is a pretty good device which adds color to the amp tone.

However, if you are looking for a way more professional silent guitar amp recording system you should consider the Torpedo VB-101 made by Two Notes.

Read my blog post about this groundbreaking device to understand what I mean. A big step further... and G.A.S. underway Smile
